Marina Velez is a multidisciplinary artist based in Cambridge, UK. Marina's work is concerned with issues surrounding people's behaviour, how they organise themselves and assign value to specific elements and how people influence their environment and each other. Marina is a Ph.D. candidate at Plymouth University. Her research title is Value in the aesthetic field: practice as a catalyst for translation, meaning and worth. She is also the founder and organiser of the Cambridge Sustainability Residency, an annual artist-led project, which brings people together to engage in cross-disciplinary conversations and to think, explore and investigate what sustainability is and the ways it can manifest in artists’ practices. Marina has co-edited MILK. a collection of essays related to art and sustainability, published through Anglia Ruskin University.
